Description and manufacturer should suffice, but if this will be the first NFA item on this trust, I would put something else (even a dollar bill will work) on the schedule A just to make it a valid trust.  After your form 4 comes back approved, you can add the suppressor to the Schedule A and Assignment of Property forms.  For example my Schedule A reads something like:

  • Alvarez Acoustic Guitar Serial # XXXXXX

  • Tactical Innovations TAC65 Suppressor Serial # XXXXXX

  • YHM Phantom 7.62 QD Suppressor Serial # XXXXXX

  • I don't think there's a guideline set as to whether or not the suppressor needs to be listed on the Schedule A prior to or after the form 4 is approved.  My first suppressor was approved with just the guitar in the Schedule A and I added the suppressor after I got my approved form 4 back.  YMMV.

You dont own the suppressor yet so you dont put it in there yet. You just need to put something in there to make the trust legit. I just put a gun on there that I already own.Just dont forget to amend the trust when you do get it.

I put all the "yet to be transferred" items in my trust beforehand, so the BATFE knows it will be there.  I paid in advance for my m11/9, so why not put it in the Trust ahead of time.  People sign away their rights to items that they don't yet have in their possession (but will eventually), all the time.

Not sure if I address this in my guide or not, I'll read thru later tonight and put it in there if I don't.

You can list it in the trust by itself prior to approval.

I have done it as well as many others, and it works.

I never list an itme in the Scheudle A until the Form is received from the ATF.

    Does it matter?  Not really.

Does WILLPower from H&R Block do the same thing as willmaker?
