so I am getting ready to purchase my first suppressor and was wondering about going to the sherriff's office.

1. Do or should we call and make an appointment and what the appt. is for?

2.do we just ask for him to sign the form and tell him why you want one?

thanks

call and find out when they do fingerprinting.
go get your prints done and turn in paperwork with prints after printing.
(for individual)

for example, my SO only does prints on Tues and Thurs and not during lunch.  so have to go on the right day.

Call.  My CLEO's representative wants to know your coming.  He also has some additional requirements.  I needed to bring a current copy of my criminal record.

WTF?  Can't he pull up your record if he wants to??

I've always just walked in and explained that I needed a CLEO signature on some forms and usually within 2-15 minutes they were signed and handed back to me.

On my last one .. the previous SBR was kicked back for correction (they didn't like the way my CLEO signed) I walked in for a correction and handed him the second set of forms.  He said "whats this"?  I told him I planned on building another SBR and I figured it was just as good a time as any to get them signed.  He started to just sign them .. and stopped .. said that there wasn't any identification other than my FFL (C&R for MO laws) asked for ID .. went back by the dispatchers .. came back 3 minutes later and said "well you aren't a felon and you don't have any warrants .. here you go and good luck!"
