IF you look at the form

Over to the right, it has 3 boxes for the type of TAX. Now wouldnt an LLC or TRUST fall under the 2nd one listed. An independant establishment would be an LLC or trust, its not an Individual,

Jus wondering.

Tax Exempt because firearm is being
made on behalf of the United States, or
any department, independent establish-
ment, or agency thereof.

The exemption does not simply apply to any department, independent establishment or agency -- it applies only to those that are branches of the United States government (...the United States, or any department, establishment or agency thereof.).

Your LLC or trust is not a branch of the federal government, so it does not qualify for the tax exemption.
