What happened to the stickie about NFA under 21? |

The thread had served its purpose and was deleted at the request of the OP. Bottom line is, when it comes to NFA "making" and transfers, BATFE follows the same federal and state laws as for Title 1 (non-NFA) items. So if you legally own or possess a rifle or shotgun, they will approve a Form 1 for you to turn it into a Short-Barrelled Rifle or Short-Barrelled Shotgun. re: buying already registered NFA items, as long as there are no state restrictions where you live, ATF will approve transfers from individuals in your state, but not from dealers, who under federal law cannot sell to individuals under the age of 21. |
That is kind of a disappointment (that it was deleted). We had an issue come up in GD recently and I was going to show them the thread, because it had the letter from the ATF in it and everything. |
