| Guys, I am picking up my new lower in the next day or so. can I register it as a SBR before I have the upper? I know the length upper I want to use and My FFL is going to help me do the forms. also on the atf site which forms do I need to order? form1 and what else? Thanks |
Not only can you do it, by law you must register it prior to taking possession of the upper. Go to titleii.com and download two copies of the Form 1 -- make sure the two pages of each copy are printed on a single piece of paper (front and back), not separate pages. Also download and fill out one copy of the Form 5330.20 citizenship form. Depending on whether you are doing the Form 1 as an individual, a trust or a corp, you may need additional stuff (photos, fingerprint cards, copies of the trust or your articles of incorporation, etc.). |
