I see where a lot of guys call to check the status of their forms.
Is this something that needs to be done?
Or can I just wait to get the call from my dealer when he gets the form?
If I do call, is my name enough or do I need any other info?

Well, I just had to call yesterday, my patience ran out. The guy that answers the phone giggled when I told him that I had a couple of MG transferrs to check the status on. Since they were closed down a couple of days due to the weather. Mede jokes about the weather while he was pulling them up on the computer, went into pending status on monday the 15th.

I didnt want to bother him any more, I asked if he had got a lot of calls like mine lately and he said he had. Really friendly guy.

I have heard that they are very professional and polite when answering the phone. When I called them (for a different reason), all the people I spoke to were courteous (but not necessarily all friendly, most were though). Very professional, except for the operator that transferred me to the W.Va. branch:

me: "Hello ma'am, I wrote y'all a letter and..."
her: "Honey, this is the ATF."
me: "I know"
