| Can a 01 FFL receive an AOW (Factory Remington 870 based AOW) from a SOT and transfer it to an individual? |

I have a FFL and would be transferring the AOW to myself from my FFL rather than having it transferred to a class 3 then transferred to me. If it is transferred to my FFL, I assume that the transfer will have to be approved and $5 stamp issued before I can receive it into my FFL. Then another approval and $5 stamp from my FFL to me. So assuming the transfer from the class 3 to me would cost me $25, it would be cheaper to receive it into my FFL and transfer to myself but would take longer to complete because of the two approvals? |
