Yippee! Today I got to put it together...RRA NM lower, RRA 10.5 upper, Eotech 512.

Trent Rowe at Trent's Rental Center, my FFL dealer and the best darn gunshop in these parts.

I expected magic fairies to appear in the room or a giant cloud of smoke to go "POOF!" in the room when I fina;lly had the tax stamped form in my hand and I assembled the upper to the lower. No dice, just a big smile on my face.
I had considered a riser w/ BUIS for the Eotech, but the dot indexes perfectly to my front sight so I'm just going to leave it as is unless the dot moves a lot after sighting in.

This whole experience was cheaper and easier than I ever thought it would be. I wholeheartedly recommend that everybody get a NFA weapon. The BATFE was friendly and fast. When I called about the status of my Form 1 they were very helpful and my form was processed in a timely fashion (7 days from system entry to approval).

I'm working five 12 hour days in a row right now, plan to hit the range possibly this Thursday or next weekend. I'll report back after that.

did you go with the CLEO sign-off, or Corp buy, or Trust?

All you guys with the SBRs are going to make me have to get one of my own. I always said I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting the stamp etc, but I am jealous of all the guys with the SBRs and cans. I still don't have any desire for full auto but the short, quiet stuff definitely has my attention.

CLEO sign off. My class 3 dealer has a very good relationship with our Sheriff and the
Sheriff is a really nice guy.
