[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Getting a Suppressor?

What is the procedure to getting a suppressor? My understanding is you order/pay for one. The manufactor then builds it, files a form with the BATF to transfer it to a FFL in my state. Then some more forms are filed with the BATF to have it transfered to me. Is this about right? Thanks

That's pretty much accurate. However, sometimes you can find a stocking dealer in your state. This would take a few weeks out of the waiting game.
