| I have a pietta 1858 stainless steel 44 cal black powder pistol. I stumbled on some conversion videos on you tube for 44 long colt. What should I be looking for in a conversion cylinder and is it special amo? Is this safe and legal? Any links would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Generally they're made for .45LC. You will only be using standard practice loads out of it. No +P CORBON rounds or anything like that. Hope that helps a little. Yes it is safe and the legal part depends on your state laws I would assume. I doubt HI has restrictions to centerfire revolvers. |
