| My father just picked up a nice Carcano M91 in 6.5mm. It didn't come with the charger/clip. I've looked around, but not very familiar with the C&R stuff. Anyone seen one for sale online lately? Thanks. |

Another note to watch out for, factory 6.5 Carcano ammunition will not be as accurate as the rifles are capable of, due to the use of the smaller .264" 6.5 bullet, while the actual bore of the 6.5 Carcano is .268".
I am not aware of any factory ammo using the correct .268" bullet, however Hornady does make the correct .268" round nose bullet for handloading (This 160gr flat base, soft point bullet is excellent for whitetail deer, IMHO). All in all, don't get discouraged by lacking accuracy with factory ammo. 6.5 Carcano is a thrill to shoot, has light recoil and is an excellent round for light and medium game when loaded with the correct diameter bullets. |
