Despite my threat to drill & tap an 1895, & butcher the bolt, the truth is I bought it that way. It will replace a nicely sporterized Remmy, which I did have tapped, & which has a soldered Marble peep sight. One obstacle to achieving the interstate mailable deer rifle is the Remington has a hair trigger - the 1895's is thawed tundra mush. Where will I find good advice to improve the Mosin trigger, w/out making it dangerous?
