I just recieved a fedex notification from the CMP that my rifle is on the way. I put my request in for a Springfield, S-stock high-number. I'll post some pics when the rifle arrives tommorrow. Fingers crossed that I got a good one! Heck, I am happy just to get one. Their website showed they were sold out within the first week being offered.

What batch would that be, Service Grades? They have plenty of Garands available with the exception of those

I am waiting for hopefully more service grades to become available..this will be my first garand..I just don't really want to settle with a field grade..my luck is that if I got a field grade that the stock would be beat to hell and have a shit barrel..

I am fortune to leave 45 minutes away from the North Store and you could spend an entire day going through the racks, especially back when they had 03, 03A3, M1 carbines and M1 Rifles available.
