On the date of receipt....Do I put the date the firearm was in my possession, or the original date of the transaction??
ETA: this is my first purchase on my license..

The day you physically take possession of the firearm. The day you "acquire" the firearm. Also, if you ever sell the gun, or "dispose" of it, you log the day it actually leaves your physical possession.
Acquire....dispose Acquisition...disposition. I had my FFL way back in the late '80's, early '90's. This info IS in the material you received from the BATFE. |
