[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Failure to eject?

I haven't fired my mosin yet, but I'm practicing loading/unloading it. Whenever I chamber a round, then pull the bolt, shouldn't it eject the round even though it hasn't been fired? Because it's not. I'm new to bolt actions so I don't know

Yes, it should. Is it not extracting or not ejecting?

Ejecting, sorry, guess I messed up on the title. The bullet comes back but doesn't eject out

When the bolt comes back, it brings the round completely with it

Mine doesn't look as far out as yours, and when I tilt it sideways, the ejector comes out a bit further, and then it can eject. Any way to fix this?

I would start by taking rifle out of stock see if pins have fallen out of it,(best guess) I am winging it. It should be pinned in place solid.

I think I fixed it! I know what the problem was, but wasn't aware of it. Part of the ejector was out of place somehow, I can't explain it, but will upload a pic when I can. I would have taken it apart earlier but I wasn't sure how, so I had to look around. But you telling me to take it apart actually made me do it. So again thanks a lot
