Took out the new to me M39 last weekend. Put about 300 rounds of russian light ball through it. After I got settled in, I was consistently hitting a 10" steel plate at 225 yards (60% of the time). I'm not a great shot either. Decent, but not great by any stretch of the imagination. I realize 225 isnt that far for some people, but i was impressed nonetheless.
Was really impressed with the accuracy and the sights of this old rifle. All around a great experience. I can see how a trained marksman could really put a hurt on some people with that rifle back in the day. Anyways, just wanted to add my 2 cents |

LOL. Didn't have a current picture of the rifle. Took that one this last winter. Weather has sucked here (been raining, constantly), but I was able to sneak out in a half hour break today and shoot a couple groups with handloads in this rifle. The potential is there, I just need some more development time.
Thanks! |

rain? what's that...down here in south texas it is dry as can be. getting rough I have a buddy that's a fire chief down there. Needless to say, he's been very busy, lately. I told him I would gladly send you guys some rain, if I could. We've had about enough!
