| I purchased a no. 4 mk. 1 and the bolt would not close, it would spring back as if the safety lever was kicking it back and the safety lever would move. Finally took the bolt out, disassembled, reassembled and installed back into the rifle. Bolt will cycle but the safety lever is loose and moves freely fore and aft. Any information would be greatly appreciated. |
| The safety lever and the internal lock on a ring that screws on the lever are assembled wrong. You can start the internal ring onto the lever pinion part from multiple starting positions. Only two positions will look like they work, but only one actually works. I don't have the diagram of which one works, but if you unscrew the ring and move over one position try that and if not then try one position over the other way. |
