Are their any on line sources for M44's besides auctions and private sales or does anyone know if a vendor will be receiving a shipment soon?

I have not seen much as of late.  About the only ones I have see were from Pat Burns, www.gunsnammo.com, the lady that has all of the M-39s.  She sells other rifles like M44s and 38s from time to time.  She doesn't have any listed on her website right now, but she had a few a while back.  She my have more listed once she updates her website, you could call/email her and ask.

Your right, they do look beat up. I can't believe they consider those in "good" condition. I paid $117 for a clean one at the Fort Worth gun show last summer.

Like Sajer said, go with the EE here.  Seen some good ones here in the past.
Skip that TRASH they are calling good... that is fair condition at BEST,
and if that one they have pics of are representative of the lot they are selling,
run away and don't look back.  Patience will net you a good one at a good price
right here on ARFCOM, just post a WTB ad.

The more I read the better I feel. I bought a 1944 M44 for christmas and paid $185 OTD and I "know" it was too much but after looking at the JG ones . My M44 will win a beauty pagent verses those dogs.
