[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help in Ident of Carcano

Hey all,

I recently came across a sporterized rifle. Best I can come up with is a M91 Carcano but I am unsure of the date. The bore measures 6.5mm. The marks on the hex part of the barrel are as follows...

FM5517

An ideas?
