The box with a slash is indicitive of an Ukranian refurb. 7.62x54.net has a mindnumbing amount of info on Mosin Nagants. I assure this won't be your last one! I have to agree with this. I got my first mosin in march. Two weeks ago I ran across a mosin 38 carbine and picked it up. Now I'm thinking of the 44 or another 91/30 with a round receiver instead of the hex. |
| Brass end caps were used all the way up until the start of WW2, until brass was needed elsewhere. But, they weren't exclusive to ex-Dragoons. Also, the stocks on these refurbed rifles are most likely not original to that particular rifle. The chances of them keeping the same stock through refurb is pretty slim. |
