Not sure if this will help but, J&G has some nice surplus German 98K stocks. I snagged a horribly bubba'd DOU 43 that just needed the wood replaced and got a nice stock for ~120 w/handguard and stock metal. They were very accommodating in finding me a red lam cupped buttplate without nasty cracks or repairs.

I got a repro from Sarco some years ago. The laminated wood looked like the originals, except it was brand new. I had to stain it and oil it.

And that is what i would like to find, but metalmans looks good for an old stock!

I got a really nice one from Numrich a few years ago when I rebuilt my 1939 K98.
