I just bought a Winchester Model 770 chambered in .270, from my googling I could only come up with that it was made between 1969 and 71'. It's a nice rifle in like new condition and was reasonably priced at ~$375, and my shop owner guaranteed I would be satisfied or he'd take it back for full refund, even offered to let me take out and shoot before I bought, but I trust his word, that's why I only shop there...but anyway, anyone know or have any info on this rifle, I can't come up with much.

The 770 is a Winchester model 70 which has no floorplate.   It is a good solid gun.  They also made a 670 with a sliding trigger block Safety instead of the three position sear block style.  Sometimes there is a bit of overlap in these two models.
