Looking at the Nikon Buckmasters 6-18 side focus Midway currently is running on sale. Also planning on putting it in an Accumount offset mount. Would the side focus knob be a problem with ejection? K31s seem the eject just about straight up. Thanks for your time, OFG |
I have the Buckmasters 4.5X14 on my Savage 30-06 and one of my ARs and I can see where there might be some interferrence with the ejection on the K31. I have a Bushnell Elite 10X40 on my K31 and it has the focus on the right but there could be some interferrence with the scope rings. I use my K31 for target shooting and I eject the brass by pulling on the bolt slowly and have no problems at all. Additional clearance can be gained with xtra high scope rings. I'm 71 and with the 14X I can see the sight better than I can with the 10X but the 10X is adequate. The Bushnell Elite is amazingly bright and clear and a very good value. I paid $169 + S&H off E-Bay. |

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like just about any scope will work as long as ejection does not need to be accomplished in a hurry. I'll be using mine for punching paper at 200 yds so speed isn't a factor. I'm looking for 14+ magnification and can probably do well with a fixed power in the 16 to 20 range. OFG |
