Already started a few years ago.

We're at the tail end now.

I suggest buying as much as you can afford. The amount of surplus ammo is not infinite. It will eventually run out.

x54 is still in current military production so supplies of this should last longest.  Obsolete stuff like .303 and 8mm you should buy while you can.

I am already contemplating having my Enfield converted to x54 specifically due to the shortage of good surplus ammo in .303

Yes, stock up now.  The really cheap deals are already gone, but some ammo can still be bought at a reasonable price.

I started stocking up a couple of years ago, even bought berdan primers to reload the GP11 ammo.  If you can find the ammo, buy it.  I don't think you'll see a flood of ammo coming in if the Dems get elected.

I started five years ago. Back when you could get 7.62x54r and 8mm for ~$0.07 a round.

Those days are gone. The variety of surplus ammunition has also diminished greatly since then. Buy what you can now.

Get it while you can! Ammo and gold are good investments IMHO. 8mm Mauser I bought 3 years ago has more than tripled in price.
