I purchased this years ago.  According to the seller, it would fit a Enfield rifle.

I cannot find any info on this model and for the life of me, I cant see how it would fit either a No1 Mk3 or No4 Mk1.

Any help is appreciated.

EDIT:

Found some more markings.. says 55 C under the elevation slide...

I think its for the No.4 Lee-Enfield. If you do some googling with Lyman and "Lee-Enfield" you may find something.

Just a guess, but it looks like it might fit on a No.1, Mark III, just in front of the bolt handle on the right side.

If so, you’ll need to drill and tap two holes in the receiver to attach it.  (You should be able to see two screw holes already in the sight, one visible, and one underneath the slide.) You may also need to inlet the stock a bit.

Google shows a Lyman 55 C sight was apparantly for Savage rifles.....one of my older Lyman reloading manuals had a catalog of sights, I'll dig it up and see if I can find anything.

My copy of Lyman's Reloading Guide 41st Edition (1957) lists the "55 C" receiver sight as being for the Stevens .22-410 over and under. The only sight they list for the Lee-Enfield is the "48 LE", there is a "57 SME" but it looks like it's for the 03 Springfield, 98 Mauser, and 1917 Enfield/P14.....all basically the same action.
