Its probably been asked a million times, so please forgive the newb question.  I finally got my C&R and recieved my first purchase today (a cz52)!

I was wondering how you guys fill out your bound book.  the import mark is from CAi.  Should I put CAI in the manu/importer column and then cz2 in the model column?  Since the actual manufacturer is probably not going to be known on most C&R guns, I suppose this is how I should do it for all the ones I get?

thanks.

Yes, CAI is the importer so that is what you record.

I have been inspected by the ATF. They were suprised i actually kept a book like i was supposed to. Apparently alot of folks don't. He basically took a glance, and that was it. He didn't cross reference anything, did'nt go over it with a fine toothed comb.

I guess you either get a great agent, or a total POS. I've never ran into an inbetween.

I've never heard of C&R license holder being inspected.  And now I'm glad I've always logged everything I get the day I get it.  I'm a little loose on the hanging my license up portion of the rule though.  I framed it and left it leaning on the wall on my reloading bench.  But I not only log everything,  I also catolog all my invoices,  save all accompanying tags,  notes,  and other misc. paperwork that I acquire.  Its all saved in a partitioned storage binder with a complete inventory of all firearms in the house.

I think the "display" part is only for 01 FFLs who actually engage in business.
