What are your thoughts and whats the easiest way to spot it? I'm thinking about going and picking up an M91/59 Anything I should watch out for on that? Thanks |
| Its not hard to spot, your .30 cal muzzle will look like a .375 or .40, you couldn't possible not see it if you've ever looked down any muzzle. If your still not sure take a flashlight with you, you should easily see the new "crown" inside. I didn't understand what counterboring was when I first heard it, basically it just creates a new crown farther down the muzzle where the rifling is better. Accuracy will improve, but gun value may be slightly less. |
| No, it was done to improve accuracy, it seems the muzzles got wollard out by the steel cleaning rods from what I've read. I couldn't believe it when I first read about it, but it does make sense. If there aren't any riflings at the muzzle, you wouldn't hit a barn at 100 yds, counterbore it and create a new muzzle and accuracy will greatly improve. |
