I received my 800 rounds of "British manufacturer" .303 from SG today. It is POF.

I called them up and they are sending me a prepaid UPS tag to return it and exchange for the correct ammo.

I am glad I am blessed with a fair amount of patience.

Did they say UPS will come pick it up, or do you have to take it to a UPS hub?

The way she was talking it sounded like I will have to drop it off and tell them to ORM-D it. I have a hub within about 3 miles of the house so not too bad.

I've gotta send back a dented up tin of 5.45 that was poorly packed.  They're sending me a replacement tin tomorrow, along with a UPS return sticker.  The lady said UPS would do a "special pickup" at my house.  Good thing because I live far from the hub.

I've always had good luck with SPG, but opening a box and seeing a dented up $125 tin of ammo protected by 2 small pieces of wadded paper is pushing my faith with them.

She said they won't guarantee that anything is packed correctly.

UPS man delivered some ammo to me last week (not Sportsman's) and told me about an incident they had a couple of weeks ago. Seems a box of loose packed ammo fell of a cart and a round of .223 went off hitting a big brown truck where 2 guys were loading!! Thankfully, no one got hurt.

MY experience with UPS does not doubt that they told you this, but come on. Dropping ammo on the floor and a .223 going off

gotta be bs.

if the case isn't contained from all sides, wouldn't the case simply rupture?

The key part is "loosely packed".
The tip of a spire point bullet makes an excellent firing pin if slammed into the primer of another cartridge.
