| I bought a M91/30 a couple of weeks ago and finally got around to cleaning it up today. I have a concern with the trigger. When I open and close the bolt before dry firing it, the trigger has a WHOLE LOT of play--like its completely loose and has no tension on it. It does however fire. The M44 I got at the same time doesn't seem to do this. Is it a problem with the trigger spring?? Anyone else have this problem? |

Yep I had the same issue with my 91/30. It actually got so bad that the rifle wouldnt fire. All I did was take the gun apart and adjusted (bent) the bolt stop spring so that it makes better contact with the trigger. Some folks have also made shims out of peices of cut up pop cans. Suprisingly, you can a pretty crisp release if you play around with it enough. Turk |
