| Ok I know I have been asking a lot of questions here lately still trying to figure this stuff out. In the firearms list that i received the only Ithaca 37 it lists it the bicentennial. But wouldnt ones that were produced more than 50 years ago be C&R? If so how does one go about telling the date of manufacture I'm guessing its in a serial number range. If this is a obvious question feel free to tell me to do better homework. |

yup! the 50 year rules works on the m37. i bought a few years ago on my C&R license. the Ithaca website had the serial # ranges for dates at that time. mine was a 1947 so, good to go. ETA: the C&R list really only matters for the few guns that are newer than 50yrs old (must be in original condition), since all guns are C&R on their 50th b-day regardless if they are in original condition or not. they just have to be complete. |
