I finally took my FR8 to the range after getting a new extractor for it. This is a very sweet shooter that does not kick as much as I thought it would. I put a couple of boxes of Port surplus through it and the only problem I can see is that it shoots a foot high with the 200yd peep. I tried the 100yd V notch but I had problems keeping the vertical dispersion down. The lower group was with the 100yd setting and the upper group was with the 200yd peep. That group measures 2.75 inches which is excellent for me with irons at 100yds. I will have to dig around and find my CETME sight adjuster and see if we can sort things out.

You've got a looker there!
I wish the sights were better on them. I still like mine, though.

I like the peep sights these days. After shooting Enfield No4s, ARs and Garands I am quite used to them. It may be tough to adjust out a foots worth of offset to be able to use the 200yd peep on this one though.
