Can someone explain these markings to me? What does "DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN BERLIN" mean? And what is that marking on top of the receiver?. All numbers are matching, including the bayonet.

Argentine 1909 mauser cal 7.65x53 . Very nice mausers and getting hard to come by now days in mil trim. Yours has been refinished, orig rifles recvrs were left in the white aka " Bare polished metal " like the bolt. Still plenty of surplus 7.65 mauser around, check SOG, J&G, Ammoman, Ammunition Store or Century

DWM is the manufacturer in Germany, Argentina also produced them locally.

I've had this gun in storage since I bought it a few years back, never fired it. My dad has some ammo for it some where, is that round similar to a .308(don't know much about the 7.65x53)?
