| I'm getting ready to order my first CMP Garand and I have a question...I'm using my C&R license as proof of shooting activities. I just moved and haven't received an updated C&R with the correct address on it yet. I know that by law they can't ship it to a different address if I'm using my C&R to buy the gun, but I'm only using it as proof of shooting activities for the CMP. It won't be a big problem if they have to ship it to the old address, it's my parents house but I'd rather have it delivered here to avoid driving 100 miles round trip. Think a utility bill or something like that would cover the rest or are they going to make me have it shipped to my parents house? |
I don't know, I'm using it for proof only, I guess it wouldn't hurt to call them and ask. Heck I'll even provide them with my lease agreement if I have to! |
The CMP is exempt from the Gun Control Act of 1968 and will ship to any address you designate. The C&R FFL is only used for proof of the shooting requirement. CMP, as a matter of policy, runs everyone through the NICS check. |
Thank you sir, I stand corrected. I haven't ordered from them (yet) so I assumed it was just like any other C&R purchase. |
