| I have made plenty of orders from AIM, and my exprience with them has been great. My question is what about SOG.. Thank you.. |
|
AIM was started as a response to SOG. SOG is ok as long as you for sure are ready to take a chance. As an example they consistently advertise corrosive ammo as non-corrosive. Dennis Jenkins

AIM was not started as a response to SOG. The owners of AIM jumped ship from SOG when they realised that the new management were total SOB's. The guys at AIM are very bad businessmen, but they do try very hard. SOG is a bunch of thieves. Deal with them at your peril. If I must, I start with threats then get mean. |
I got a M-48a from SOG and didn't notice it had no extractor for about 6 months. I sent them a copy of the invoice witha note on it and they sent me an extractor. No Charge. I've bought a lot of guns from SOG thru the years with only that one problem. AIM is good too and I think their guns might be a little better quality. SOG has a larger selection of stock. |

SOG tends to have vapor guns listed in their flyers and on website. Also, they have no walk-in business, whereas AIM does...that matters to us Buckeyes. SOG also charges for a handpick that is absolutely, unequivocably NEVER done. I got a "handpicked" No5mk1 Enfield with a severely bent barrel and a missing rear sight....and I've heard of worse "handpicks". Lastly, they have never, ever, sold a single round of corrosive ammo. Don't believe me? Look in their flyer. Only SOG has Czech Silver Tip that's non corrosive, same with 1950's Radway Green .303....their shipments are non corrosive whereas everyone else on planet earth got the corrosive stuff. Weird, huh? Other than that, I have no complaints. |

Excellent experiences through AIM so far. I have not ordered from SOG yet. I have two mosins and a K31 from AIM and will be receiving an M59. I ordered the Mosins and K31 online, but called about the M59. They answered quickly and within three minutes, it was 'Ok, Mr Q, we'll get that out right away'. That was Monday. Tuesday had an email with the UPS tracking number, and it should be delivered tomorrow (Friday). Now THAT is nice. I'll check out what SOG has, and send them a copy of my C&R. I'll try anything once. If I have no problems with them, it will just be a matter of price and selection. |

My brother always gets excellent service when he picks up purchases at AIM but he doesn't have a C&R so he isn't able to buy from SOG. He doesn't need the license when he can stop by AIM on the way home from work. I've always had great service and been sent great products from AIM. Bought a bunch of rifles and a bunch of ammo from them. Qucick turnaround on everything except for that 7.62x25 (for the cz52 pistols) which wasn't their fault, but by the time they had it in stock, I'd already overspent my C&R budget. Bought a few pistols and rifles from SOG. Good to talk to when placing orders once you're identified as a C&R holder. Fast shipping and good packaging. I was happy with both. But with C&R old surplus rifles, you never know till you open the box. Even the best wholesaler occasionally ships a beater product. |
| I have ordered a number of firearms from SOG and AIM. Been satsfied with the product and service from both. AIM once forgot to include something with my order. Another time I was overcharged about $10 for shipping. Both issues resolved quickly with no hassles. Would not hesitate to order from either. |

Order a bunch of stuff from SOG. It was crap, and was no where near as advertised. In addition, I was charged over $20 for magazines that were clearly advertised for $7.95. SOG is a complete crap shoot. Order an "excellent" condition firearm and sometimes you'll get one. Often enough you'll get junk. I'll pass |
