UPDATING C&R / RECORDS QUESTIONS... (Page 2 of 23)

ok, I ordered my application about a week ago, and I got the packet today. However, it was missing the Certificate of Compliance paper work, had no mention of it anywhere, and didn't give me any reason to believe I needed it. It did however send me a card to order forms with in the future, on which it didn't even have the Certificate of Compliance as being available to order at all. Is it still required, or has something changed? If it is needed, should I just resubmit my order for one? The receipt only had the C&R license application listed, so I am worring that they never even got my order for it, (even though I submitted both on the same request). |

Ive got a question for you c&r holders in michigan, if the state has "no provisions" for full auto ownership, does the c&r licsense over ride this? or dose the local CLEO have the final say? just wondering how that would work. i held a regular FFL for a long time, but let it go back in '98. I don't believe so. You can buy C&R Class III weapons in MI, but you still need to go thru the normal process - LEO sign-off, ATF approval, etc. |

I sent mine in in January. They took my money on Jan. 31st. I received my license about three days ago. Call them and bug the crap out of them. Ain't no telling how long mine was laying there. I called them about 3 weeks ago and he said yeah everything checked out. We'll get that right out to you. Took another 2 weeks after that. And some people want the govt to help us with health care. You would be dead of old age before you could get any help for a headache!

Just got my packet and have several questions. (stupid government forms!) Line 10 Nonimmigrant alien Certification on Compliance with 18 U.S.C. 922 A. name of person certifying compliance Do I sign this part? Do i certify myself?  I am not a nonimmigrant alien, illegal alien, or any other such nonsense. C. Are you in possesion of a valid hunting license or permit lawfully issued in the United States? Why would this even matter? What does hunting have to do with C&R firearms? Line 15 What do i put under title? Individual, private collector? Something like that? CLEO copy, line 8 Payment information. Can I leave this blank on the CLEO copy? I really don't like the idea of some yahoo clerk at the Sheriffs office having my CC info. Since the ATF is the one charging the fee, I see no reason why the Sheriff should have this info. Am I right on this, Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any help or advice, Dan |

Need some help guys. I got my packet in today from the ATF and it has the Application for FFL C&R License, but it does not have the ATF US Citizenship certification Form F 5330.20. Where can I get the citizenship form? I went to www.atf.gov/dcof/index.htm but it does not have that form listed. Where do I go to order one? Thanks |

My check was cashed a week after I mailed it, so I guess I'm approved. now the nail biting part. It's been... four weeks... and I couldn't wait anymore and drove up to AIM to get two more k-31s and an enfiled. |

Mine went in the mail Oct. 9th. and they cshed my check today the 18th. I know I probably still have a while to wait but I still feel like

I finally got my C&R and....They spelled my address wrong  . I called them up and actually got a nice person who changed the address and is sending me a new license...Wow, took me all of 5 minutes. Figures I made 25 copies of the license with the wrong address before I noticed it, too! Ah well...Lucky the copies were free  . Now I have to wait another week before I get my new one...

Application sent - 11/1/05 Check cashed - 11/8/05 License recieved - 11/23/05 I would almost call this timely, except that I would be referring to the govt. and I know better.  They need to do something about the envelope though. It looks a bit like junk mail and I almost tossed it unopened. |

Like NJ. At least I'm about to place my first order with both Brownell's and Midway and will be saving more than the cost of my C&R. Worth it so far .

| When I send the CLEO copy off on the part that shows FOR ATF USE ONLY (Application Approved / Denied, Signature of ATF official, etc...) does that have to be filled in by the ATF prior to sending it off? ie...Do I have to have the form returned by the ATF before sending it to my CLEO? |

Send the form to your CLEO at the same time you mail the application to the BATFE. |

That is fast. I think it has more to do with your last name and who handles the accounts for that letter. SmallChange on the NFA board has put together a running account of how long NFA items are taking people to get. CNR FFL goes through the same people. Sent in paperwork: 9/10/05 CC Charged: 9/27/05 Called: 11/10/05 and told I was not "put into the system" until 10/16/05 - 60-90 days from that point. What F'ing BS, my tax dollars at work again. |

Apps sent to F-troop and CLEO on the 17th of DEC. Let's see how long this is going to take....... ETA-1/14 they lost page 2 pf my app. sent off replacement ETA-2/4 Rec'd C&R AND 4 identical packages of info from the ATFE in the following week

Sending forms out today, 12/28/05. Will update for payment and receipt of license. ETA: Credit card charged 1/2/06 ETA: Doh! I received a letter dated 1/26/06 requesting information. I have submitted it. This will probably delay it a while longer. ETA: HELL YEAH! Got it 2/25/06 |

No you didn't. If you used the new form, section deals with Immigration issues. DO you remeber section 10 asking if you were an alien and to provide your alien registration number? If you remember that - you didn't mess up. If you used the old form, without the Immigration stuff- then you messed up. Bill |
I know that Midway and Brownell's offer discounts to C&R licensees, but who else does? Does Natchez Shooter's Supply? I just called in for my packet, and I'm looking forward to being able to save a few more pennies!

A bunch of other places do, yeah. I believe CDNN does for sure, as does Grafs. I can't remember any others off the top of my head. I've saved over the cost of my license already in dealer discounts alone! I think between the two I've saved $40-$50! |

Sent out C&R app 1/11/06. ATF debited my account 1/14/06. That was fast. Nowcomes the wait for the liscense. I live in Maryland and I have been told that is one of the states that takes the longest. Maybe the fact that I am Law Enforcement helps?? We'll have to see. First acquisition after I get the liscense- Swedish mauser. Bill |

Sent application 12/21. Received license today 1/17. Didn't notice when they took payment. ETA: This is going to wind up being more expensive than a crack habit. I've had the license 24 hours and have already ordered 3 rifles... |
