I hear talk from time to time that someone is considering making a steel magazine for the bolt action 541S, etc (which use the same basic magazine as nylon 77), but it never comes to anything.
The 5 round magazines suck a lot less than the 10 round magazines but the 5 round magazines are hard to find and are expensive when you find them. The major issue with the 10 round magazines is that they start to split at the seam and then start puking out rounds without being asked. Inspect them closely and if they start to split, cyanoacrylate adhesive (high quality superglue) is your friend. |
