I posted a few months ago about my .22LR RAR not feeding right. I tried a couple different magazines, thinking it was probably a mag problem, but I got the same results. Anything but roundnose solids jammed ... the bullets didn't seem to nose up enough to go into the chamber mouth, or maybe the belt around the bullet itself was catching on the chamber mouth. Either way, the bullets jammed when I tried to chamber them.

So I finally sent the rifle back to Ruger a few weeks ago, and I got it back today.

It feeds like a champ now, with all my mags. The funny thing is they said on the paperwork that they "replaced the magazine and the front sight  (?)", and test fired the rifle 20 rounds with no problems.

I have no idea about the front sight, unless it got damaged in shipping or something. But I have to believe they polished the chamber mouth or something, because my other mags that wouldn't feed suddenly feed now.

Anyone else had trouble with .22 rounds jamming on closing the bolt? I'm happy now, since mine works, but I still wonder if Ruger did something else to fix it.

Mine feeds all types of ammo...truncated cone, LRN, plated, and non plated HP/round nose just to name a few. I'm sure they polished the feed ramp or something.
