I've got a question about moving the barrels around between a 15/22 and 22 AR.

I spent way too much and bought a Performance Center 15-22 and would like to SBR it but I don't want to chop up the fluted barrel since I have an extra 4.5" 22 barrel laying around already.

Are the 15-22 barrels interchangeable with standard AR barrels?

If not, has anyone ever come across just a 15-22 upper?

They are not interchangeable. S&W 15-22 has a different way of attaching the barrel to their proprietary upper. S&W won't sell spare barrels. I've been looking for a complete spare upper and haven't found one yet.
