How does Blazer 40gr (00021) compare to CCI Standard Velocity (0035)? Is CCI worth the extra $1 per 50rds?

Blazer has been my preferred brand ever since it came out.  I've had better luck with it than any other brand out there.

Blazer = Goes subsonic at 35 yards.
SV = Subsonic, more drop at distance

They have the same accuracy at 25 yards. Blazer opens up a bit after 35 yards, but still plenty accurate.

I shoot blazer bc my .22 AR has a 4.5" barrel.

both are excellent.

If the extra quiet is worth the money, go ahead.

Of course, if quiet is worth money and you can find it, and you're not shooting a semi-auto, try CB Long/Shorts.

I think CCI SV is the most accurate of the lower priced domestic ammo varieties. Its the only ammo in its price range which will consistently shoot 1/2" or better at 50 yards out of my KIDD 10/22s. It's the only ammo I shoot out of my BR rifles than match ammo like Eley, Lapua or SK/Wolf.

If I were plinking, shooting offhand or out of a rifle that isn't really capable of taking advantage of more expensive ammo, I'd probably buy the Blazer. I've always heard very good things about it. I never really consider it mainly because it's high velocity...standard/subsonic ammo is almost always a better choice if you are looking to get every .1" of accuracy.

Automatch is excellent ammo. Some of the bulk packed blazer is actually automatch. I like the older style blazer with the flat driving bands. Blazer is my favorite accurate do everything round.

The standard velocity and subsonic CCI stuff is better for suppressed shooting. Very accurate.

I don't believe they are made subsonic nor claim to. They're just accurate as hell with normal shooting.

CCI subsonic is the only way to go when using a can. I know it's all *I* use when using my can.

I was just responding to his question about shooting suppressed and either one being quieter.
