I have a 10-22 set up with a tac sol threaded barrel in a hogue overmold stock.  I am looking for a scope for close to mid range shooting, something in the 2-7 power range would be ideal.  I want a quick acquisition type reticle, not fine duplex, and illumination would be a plus.  Top end on price would be $300.

On the low end is the Weaver 2x7 rimfire scope. Bushnell makes what may be a bit better and a bit more expensive. For me the Leopold is pretty much the top of the line. I have the Weaver on my tricked out 10/22, the Bushnell on a .223 and the Leopold an a CZ452.

Just throwing this out there. I know you said 2-7 but to my knowledge those are hard to find in an illuminated platform. I would consider this: Primary Arms Illuminated 1-6x
