The receiver is milled for 11mm but what height do you think is best?

Thnx

Get a DIP 25moa rail and then use standard rings.

Warne med or high.  The low rings won't allow the bolt handle to clear the scope.

Americans are supposed to have 3/8" rails, but they are in between 11mm and 3/8" really.  Warne rings work great on all CZs.

The Warne rings work great, and I have them on two of my CZs. My Varmint wears the Burris signature rimfire rings which work just as well as the Warnes, and look a hundred times better. They also have the plastic inserts so you can add in enough elevation to dial up your scope rather try to hold over. I get enough elevation from the inserts to shoot my .22lr using standard velocity ammo using a 200 yard zero without having to have an ugly rail.

I'm a big fan of the Burris Signature Zee rings.

Their rimfire rings come with two sets of clamps to fit either 11mm of 3/8" grooves, and on a CZ it's a bit of a crap shoot which you have, so it's nice to be able to go with the best fit either way.

The inserts allow you to set anywhere from 5 minutes to 40 minutes worth of angle on the scope in 5 minute increments, well almost.  The possible combinations are 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, or 40.  The 0, 5, 10 and 20 MOA insert sizes won't let you do 35 minutes.   It comes with the "zero" inserts and you can order sets in 5, 10 and 20 increments or get a package with all three.  Two packages will give you the full range of adjustment.

You can use the inserts for both vertical and horizontal adjustment as well, allowing you to center the windage if needed as well as increase the elevation adjustment.

The inserts also protect your scope from any ring marks.

Here are a set on a CZ 453 Varmint with a Leupold VX2 3-9x40mm scope.

Nice looking stock right there. If you ever had the inclination to do so, take some Meguiar.s Scratch X to it and then polish it up with some Howard's Feed-N-Wax.

I have same setup as pictured, except left handed.  I did considerable research, and went with the Burris Zee medium rings:  it works well.  Warne also makes a great product, but I don't know how well they fit on a 453.  Ring fitment in that goofy dovetail can be problematic.  CZ makes a great rifle for the money, and the stock on mine is an added bonus.  They can come really plain or nicely figured for the same price.
