I'd like to put a scope on my old AR-7. I do have the scope mount side plate, but I'm hoping someone out there could tell me what type of rings would work on it.
Any help would be great.

If it's like this one then it would use tip-off rings.

Newer Henry AR-7's have a scope rail cast integrally with the receiver.

You may consider a trade-in.

Love that with mine too on the irons.  Amazing accurate for what it is.

The scope mount is for 3/8" .22 rings.   (very common)

Good Shooting!

I had a Charter Arms Explorer pistol back in the 80s that used the same mount. I had a Bushnell Phantom on it. Wish I had not sold it. For some odd reason that one would feed everything I fed it. Go figure.

Looked just like this one. You can see the mounting plate.
