Cabelas actually had some .22 LR in stock today. 375 round bulk packs of CCI AR Tactical. Never have seen this stuff before. It's 40 gr copper washed round nosed truncated, and the box says it's designed for optimal use in AR platform .22s. Is this new stuff or just something new to me? What say the hive? Specialty ammo, or just marketing?

My 15-22 shot pretty good with it but didn't buy much because federal bulk 525 packs were cheaper. How much was it per box?

It wasn't cheap. $27.99. About .075 per round. Not horrible, but not great either.

It's not new and it's always functioned fine for me though I've only shot 2 or 3 boxes before.  All through a 10/22 Takedown, I don't have a .22lr AR (yet).  I wouldn't pay a premium for it but if it's available I'd have no qualms about snatching it up.

its just designed to work well in semi-autos. but will work in all other action types too.

Its not worth paying so much extra for in my book.  Works good though.

It works great for me and it's what I use in competitions for both my M&P 15-22 and M&P 22. How much did they have? Is it all gone now?

They had about 15 packs left while I was there, plus about the same # of 36 gr bulk packs with Swamp People pictures on it. Also had a couple dozen 100 box Mini Mags. That's the second time this month I've found good 22 stock on their shelves late in the morning. I stop by maybe twice a week since my main office is up that way.

It runs very well with my 10/22 TD and is accurate out to 100 yards on 5 inch steel.
