How many times are you going to post about those wanna bees?

The 50BMG that shoots 22 rimfire still makes me laugh.

Post all you want. If they don't want to see it, they don't have to look. Each of us have our interests, clearly yours is making replicas out of them. At least you aren't posting pictures of a 1911 pistol over and over. Gawd, those things get boring! Its like Harleys, dump them all in a paper bag, shake it up and you can't tell them apart.

Maybe by seeing your collection someone might get motivated to try a project rifle themselves. After all, .22 is so affordable. A real MP5 or Stg.or whatever is way beyond the budget of most of us. Its a hobby, have  fun with it.

Have you looked at using the Remington 597 in any of your conversions?

im helping a few people convert their .22's right now.

i spend more time with my .22's at the range than my AR15 and Saiga
12.    im usually done shooting my AR15 and Saiga 12 in less than 20
minutes.  then i spend 4-5 hours where i simply enjoy plinking my .22's
at the shooting gallery at the pistol range @ 25-50 yards.

nope.

i just have a Ruger 10/22, Marlin XT-22, Savage MKII F, Marlin 795, Marlin 60 to work with

what does the Remington 597 action look like without the stock?  if the width is less than 1.25 inches, then it can go into an airsoft stock

That's a nice collection. Out of curiosity how much ammo do you keep, bet you save a fortune by keeping it to .22.

Surprised you haven't gone out and got a GSG STG 44. It's definitely on my buy list but have other irons in the fire at this time.

at the moment i dont keep or store any ammo at home.

before i go to the range i usually just buy 40 rounds of .223 for the AR15 and 30 rounds of 12 gauge for the Saiga

and 2 bulk packs of .22

there's a full metal airsoft version of the STG44.  a Marlin 60 can fit but the action has to go inside the buttstock.   i can probably get the airsoft version for under $150 used.  just have to wait til someone breaks it to get a better deal.

same with the MP5.  the Marlin 60 action would have to be inside the butt stock because the receiver of the MP5 and STG44 is less than 1 inch wide

This is the .22 section, what do think he should be posting here?  I bet you'd be the same guy that would be stomping your feet if he posted a picture of a real 50 in the .22 section too...

OP that's an impressive collection and from what I've seen of your other posts, it's some top notch work you do.  I'm a bit of a .22lr nut myself but I don't have the time or patience for what you do.  Very well done and keep the pics coming!

I agree, that is a great looking collection.

The GSG StG44 is awesome! I just got mine last week. I was skeptical at first, but after seeing the gun I definitely changed my mind. I'd heard all the rumors that it is made from pot metal, with plastic parts etc. None of that is true. The receiver, trigger housing etc are all high quality steel castings (confirmed by an ATI rep). Other external parts like the hand guard, "gas tube" are steel stampings, just like the original. The barrel and action are steel. Stock is wood with steel stampings, just like the original. The bolt and carrier are very similar to the .22 conversion kit for AR15s. This rifle is built like a tank!  It does use polymer magazines with round counters (which isn't very authentic). But that is a minor bitch. The weapon is also very accurate. There is no scope available yet, but it does have the scope rail under the rear sight, so I am hopeful GSG or someone will come out with one. HK Stanag mounts will work on the rifle, so that is another possibility. Overall I have to say GSG's Sturmgewehr is an outstanding rifle, and far superior to any of their previous products. Two big thumbs up!

No idea how wide it is, but it looks wider than 1.25".

this would probably fit a WELLS G96 AICS looking stock. you can find one for $99 on airsplat.com in the boneyard section. it comes out from time to time. just have to keep checking
you can also use the Archangel M1A stock and just dremel out the internals until your action drops right in.
the Snow Wolf Barrett M82, M14 EBR would also fit.
if the width of the receiver is more than 1.25 inches, then its likely NOT to fit any airsoft stock that has an upper receiver.

if you want to try it, let me know.  ill help guide you.

The receiver is 1 and 3/8 wide. Hope that helps. I just measured mine for you.

I like your builds.  They show ingenuity and creativity.  Anybody with enough money can buy any gun out there.  It takes thought and talent to create something.
