I just picked up a Savage Mark 2 for plinking and to use as a host for my SWR Spectre. I'd like to change the stock to something that looks a little cooler and also has a higher cheek weld. How hard is it to change the stock? I'm not the most mechanically inclined person but I do basic maintenance on all of my guns. Are there any special tools I would need?
The next question is which stock does everyone recommend? I've seen a few recommendations of the Boyds' Tacticool Stock but this is far from my area of expertise so I figured I'd ask those more knowledgable than I. Thanks very much for any info you can provide. |

i started to edit the op on that thread to include alot of the information but havent really had the drive in the past few months. it should be on page 2 or so.
it has names and manufactures for alot of the parts and alot of good info. for the higher cheek weld alot of people get a pad that straps on the stock or use a kindex (sp) riser like one seen on the LRH models http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_11/334696_savage_mark_2__edit_op__4_28_12.html |
