I did a search of this forum with "ultralight" and found nothing,
Please advise the lightest adult semi auto .22. (I Also googled it and only found ruger barrels.) I would have thought that the non recoil of a .22 would reduce the weight of a plastic stocked semi to a couple of lbs. Are the manufactures missing an opportunity here? Something along the lines of the old Remington nylon 66 would be perfect. |

what are you planning on using it for? If you are just wanting a survival gun I would say get an AR-7 or a Ruger Mk III pistol. Other than that find a 16" Ruger 10/22. Squirrel hunting, plinking, but I have an old remington that weighs about 5.5 lbs. Just interested in an ultralight 22. |

The lightest I know of is the Pack-Rifle, not exactly heavy duty, but lightweight for sure.
I like the Marlin Papoose for an "adult" lightweight rimfire. |

I found the Mossberg Plinkster to be one of the featherweights. Looks good too!

I have a bolt action plinkster and it's pretty accurate. According to the mossberg site it's 4.1lbs. |

This is about as light as you can get, the plinkster is pretty light, but there is a half pound difference between my Marlin and my 10/22 (10/22 weighing less) and I can hardly notice a difference while out hunting with them. |

TACCOM3G will be the lightest semi auto available in an AR platform.
The Barrel is 15 oz. Butt Stock 5 oz. Carbon Fiber/poly upper receiver with a bcg, the whole upper comes in at 2.2 lbs. I believe. Combine that with a Plumb Crazy lower. You will end up with about a 4lb complete rifle. Dave N |
