I'm looking for a new scope for my 10-22, right now I'm trying to decide between the Cabelas tactical rimfire series and the BSA sweet 22 series. I want something that has the bullet drop compensated drums and would like the compensation to go down to 50 yards. Any help is appretiated.

if you look thru the forum you'll find some recent threads on scope recommendations for 10/22s. they're over 30 days old so the search function won't help.
the Mueller APV or APT get consistent high marks and favorable reviews, but those don't have BDC cams like the two you mention. the BSA scopes seem to have varying quality. some people love them, but i don't know what they're comparing them too, other say they're junk and don't click well. i'm more inclined to believe the poor reviews on the BSAs and chalk the favorable reviews up to those that either gon the rare scope that works well or are easily impressed. i've got a friend with two APV scopes on his 10/22s and i've had a chance to look thru them. the glass is nice enough that i'll be buying an APT for one of my rifles next month. just got the LaRue base for it this month. if i have target knobs like on the APT i'm not too worried about a BDC. counting clicks ain't that hard. |
