Posted the project in the refinishing forum but I thought you guys might be interested as well.  BTW this thing shoots great.  I'm getting one holers at 25 yds with Wolf Match and Eley Match.  See link for details of the FVSR makeover.

That looks awesome.  You did a great job with it.  



The stock paint should hold up pretty well.  If it wears through, just hit again with a light coat.  I used the same combo, in black, that lasted for years before requiring any touch-up

looks sweet!

i'v condiered doing some stocks with "trunk paint" that has the different color spatters in the same can of paint. would look kinda like some of the HS Precision stocks and some safes.

a wuick google shows some available in black and gray, gray and white, aqua and black and a few other colors. but i'm not seeing the braown with black that i've seen before that seemed like it might make a decent earthtone.

this is for rattle can paint, if you go to the pro paints that need a compressor and spray gun there's all kinds of colors available.
