I saw one of these recently in a gun shop. Sadly, it was .17HMR & not .22LR.................

I can't describe the perfect balance & feel of this thing when I held it. The trigger was very nice as well.

Has anyone shot one yet? CZ-452 Thumbhole Varmint.

I have a cz 452 ultra lux 22 lr no thumbhole stock but a very nice rifle. I also have a savage 93r17btvxp in walnut thumbhole .17 cal. I like the cz action better but the.17 is more accurate for me now both are new rifles to me. If  the price is right get the cz in.17 you will not regret it. I am looking for a cz in .17 now. that is a very nice looking rifle you posted.

pray that it is more accurate than the one i bought. 1.5" at 100 yds. is not impressive when my marlin was shooting 1/2".

Ammo cost is a mitigating factor in my rifle choices. .22LR is something I can shoot a lot of cheaply.

Did you try different ammo, I guess? Did you try Blazer at all?

It was a 17 hmr. I tried every brand available at the time. I have been tempted to try a .22lr, but I have been fucked twice by CZ so I am a little leery. I had a varmit .223 that was half as accurate as my M4 profile RRA AR, and it had a single set trigger set to 16oz.

Well, all I can say is that I'm real happy with my CZ 452 American & its accuracy. Come to think of it, I haven't ever heard of a complaint of about a CZ 452's accuracy for that matter. Both of my CZ-75's are real accurate as well. I'm not counting my CZ O&U 12ga for accuracy.

Seriously, I have heard of many other .17HMR rifles being pigs on accuracy. Not sure if it was ammo related, twist related, gun related or what. But I can honestly say that you should be REAL happy with a CZ .22 in about any sort of config, IMO.

I have a 452 left hand 22 and it is stoopid accurate.  It easily shoots with my $1200 Anschutz.  I bought my daughter a Scout and she is just absolutely deadly with it on anything she can get in the scope!

I put trigger kits on both, with mine at 4oz and hers at 12.  My BIL has the sillhouette model and just loves it.  A cousin has 3 different models and every single one is very accurate.  Another cousin had a 452, but got rid of it because it would only shoot 3/4 inches at 100 meters.

I have seen every one of these rifles personally and can swear that there is no BS about their accuracy.  I'm sure there are a few that slip through that arent up to snuff, but the overwhelming majority I believe are fantastic.

You guys are making me want to buy a CZ .22 lr to give it a try. If it sucks ass you guys are going to have to give me a big damn pity party!

If you buy it & don't like it, I'll buy it from you for what you paid for it. I'm that confident in the 452 series line.
