Where's the rest of it?
I'll swap out to a 12.25" TacSol barrel next week.  Stuck this one on here just playin' around (yes, it's a registered SBR).

Handles really nice but looks a little goofy to me...

  • Tactical Solutions 5.5" barrel with a Warlock suppressor attached.

  • Leupold VXII 4-12x40 AO, LR Duplex reticle & Leupold covers

  • Rimfire Tech trigger housing & bolt handle w/ Volquartsen guts

  • Larue base & QD low rings

Nice set-up there.

If it was me, I would remove the bi-pod and swap the scope out for a nice 1-4 power to make it lighter and slimmer, but then again I dont know what you intend to use it for

Anyways, nice build

Hmm...  That would look pretty good.  This is just a range plinker, that'll be fired from a bench mostly, so the bipod will come in handy for that.  I'll probably do another pocket rifle with the barrel.  Have one but the rail on it doesn't allow enough room for the diameter of the can.
The Hogue-stocked one will end up looking similar to the one I did last week:

  • Leupold MK-AR 6-18x40AO, MilDot, w/ Leupold flip-up covers

  • Boyd's Blaster, modified stock

  • Larue QD low rings, base and push-button QD sling

  • 12.25" TacSol barrel

  • SRT full-auto-rated Comanche suppressor

  • Harris swivel pi-pod

  • Norrell registered full-auto trigger pack

What is that silver "trigger" shapped thing in the trigger area?

that's the giggle switch (essentially).

man....I seriously hate you.  and so does my wallet in the near future.  and if my wife knew, she'd hate you too!

like the new build.  but as much as I hate sidefolders, really lends itself to a sidefolder.

Selector switch.  Forward (a little more than shown in the pic) and it's semi-auto.  Slide it back, adjacent to the trigger, for full-auto.

Thanks.  I thought this one turned out pretty good and like the contrast of the white lettering.  Thinking about filling the Ruger logo with white as well (the china marker process).
The trigger pack is coming out of a side-folder.  It's a fun little setup but the stock is a few inches too short for use with BDM drums.  They're so bulky, you have to reach around at an uncomfortable angle to get a grip on it.
Other than that, a true pocket-rifle is about the funnest configuration you'll ever play with (5" to 5.5" suppressed barrel, compact folding stock).  Heck, they're allowed in Texas - get to fillin' out that F1.

How do you like that Leupold Prismatic Sight?

I really like the looks of them, and I have heard you can even use them without ilimination due to an etched lense.

I have one.  they're pretty cool actually.  they arent illuminated unless you turn the power on.  otherwise looks like a "normal" scope.
bought one for a specific application that didnt turn out the way I wanted (on a levergun), and kinda only half-hearted tried to sell it.  its such a neat little piece that I'm kinda sitting on it trying to find a good application for it.

yeah, that's a great setup too.  I'd kinda like to see the 5.5" and suppressor in that stock though.
you just suck.
now I'm thinking that the prismatic needs to go on a new 10/22 SBR build.  jeez.....  can I just bill you for half since its technically  "your fault"?

Like it a lot and correct, you can use it with or without illumination.  The larger reticle pattern vs just a dot is a plus to me.  The one above sits on a Larue QD mount, and I move it around to other guns somewhat often.

Downside is that they're larger and heavier than the new dots.

Leupold just introduced the DeltaPoint, which has some cool features such as auto-on with any movement, wider lens housing and auto-brightness.  You might want to consider something similar as well.  Trijicon offers the RMR, which eliminates the need for batteries, but they're really pricey too.

Thank ya'.  Can't change the scope for now but did remove the bipod, and swapped out to a slightly longer barrel.  This thing is incredibly lightweight.
